This is our take on an 18th-century French escritoire, or secretary desk. The design is absolutely full of classical detailing from the tongue and groove back panel to the Victorian mouldings and iconic trumpet legs. With shelves above and two petite drawers, there’s ample storage to keep the surface free from clutter and is pretty enough to be used as a bedroom writing desk. Style tip: books don’t have to be stood vertically. Play with direction and place pocket-sized books in a small stack to use them as bookends.

Delivery

  1. Delivery will occur within 5 to 10 business days after the goods are picked up by the carriers from Novasolo's warehouse. The 2-Man Room of Choice Service includes unpacking, positioning and packaging removal. On the scheduled day of delivery, the driver will call the customer 30 minutes prior to arrival.
  1. Prior to delivery, the customer will be contacted and provided a delivery date with a 4 hour timeslot. The customer has the option to either accept the proposed delivery date or decline it. If declined, an alternative delivery date will be offered within 5-10 working days. Please note: if no delivery date is accepted, additional storage charges will be added to your invoice. Storage is calculated at 5% of the total delivery cost, per day, beginning from five working days after the goods are collected by the carrier.
  1. If you do not take delivery of the goods on the scheduled date without providing the minimum 24 hours notice, at our discretion and without prejudice to any other rights, we reserve the right to charge a standard delivery fee to recover transport and administration costs.

Shipping and Returns/Refund Policies

Shipping Policy

Order Confirmation:

As soon as you place your order, we will pre-authorise your card however your card will not be charged. We will then contact our supplier to confirm that the product you have purchased is available for immediate shipment. Once confirmed we will process the payment and your order will be dispatched straight away. If there is any delay such as an item which is on backorder, we will void the pre-authorisation and contact you to let you know.

Order Delivery/Tracking:

Once your order has been placed, assuming it is in stock and available for dispatch, we will charge your card and your order will be dispatched.

Delivery lead times are dependent on each brand. Please check the product page itself for specific delivery times under the “Delivery” tab of that product page.

We’ll send you tracking details by email within 24 hours of your order being dispatched. If you have not received tracking details within 3 working days, please reach out to us via email at info@premierhomefurnishing.com so that we can help.

We currently do not offer installation within our services. Delivery does not include any assembly or unpacking as standard (unless stated otherwise in product description).

If you do not take delivery of the goods on the scheduled date without providing the minimum 24 hours notice, we reserve the right to charge a standard delivery fee to recover transport and administration costs.

Damages:

We ask that you thoroughly inspect all items at the point of delivery. We advise you not to accept delivery of any damaged items. If you discover that an item has been damaged, please send clear photos of the damaged items to info@premierhomefurnishing.com so that we can open an insurance claim on your behalf.

Upon receiving a delivery, please inspect the items prior to the departure of the delivery driver, to allow easy return in the unlikely event of any damage. If you're unable to examine the goods upon delivery, you have a 2 day window after signing for them to report any damages. Claims for damages made after 2 days will not be accepted.

Cancellations:

You can cancel an order for any reason BEFORE it has been dispatched, just email us at info@premierhomefurnishing.com to do so.

HOWEVER, If you cancel an order AFTER it has been dispatched then you (the buyer) will be charged a cancellation fee, AND you (the buyer) will also be responsible for any costs associated with returning those cancelled item(s). 

Any refunds can only be issued to the same payment method which was used to place the order.

Returns and Refund Policy

We have a 30 day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return If you are dissatisfied with your purchase.

In order to receive the full amount of the refund described in this Return Policy. All item(s) must be: (1) in new/unused condition and (2) returned with all accessories and parts securely packed in all original packaging (unless the packing was removed as a part of the In-Home Delivery, in which case please re-pack in a manner to prevent damage during return shipping). There will be a 20% restocking fee for returned items without original packing, based on the invoice value.

Products that have been assembled will not be accepted for a refund, credit or exchange.

Clearance items are final sale items and cannot be returned or exchanged.

For orders delivered on a pallet, it is essential to return them on a pallet for transportation purposes.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, missing parts or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please make sure to notify us of any damages/issues within 2 days of receiving your order. 

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10-15 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
